IVS attended the live finale of Maestro. Maestro is a Dutch television program where 8 famous contestants compete for the title of ‘Maestro’. The 8 contestants are challenged to develop their skills to become the conductor of the Orchestra of the East. In imitation of the successful previous seasons in 2012, 2014 and 2016, a new group of famous Dutch people challenged themselves in 2017 to develop their conductor skills. The recordings took place at the Philharmonie in Haarlem.
During every previous episode the orchestra had to choose which one of the two contestants who were in the danger zone, could stay and manage to go to the next episode. The voting was executed with the IVS-Lite voting system. During the finals, the contestants were assessed by a jury and by the orchestra using IVS’s Lite voting system, and by the audience at home. The combination of these 3 reviews determined the winner of the show.
